Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Delco Rising is published by Rising Media LLC.
This page will explain what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. But in short, we collect only what we need to send you the news you asked for and to keep the site running. We don’t sell your information.
What we collect
- If you subscribe: your email address, your name if you give it, and which towns and newsletters you chose.
- If you become a paid supporter: payments are processed by Stripe. We see your name, email, and support level. We never see or store your full card number.
- If you send us a tip or contact us: whatever you choose to include. We treat tips as confidential and won’t reveal a source without permission.
- When you visit the site: basic, cookie free visit data from our publishing platform’s built in analytics, such as pages viewed and which site referred you.
- Email activity: whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked, so we know what’s useful. You can turn this off by blocking images in your email app.
Advertising measurement
We sometimes run ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor to invite people to subscribe. Those platforms’ measurement tags run on our site to record when someone reaches our signup confirmation page, so we can tell whether an ad worked. They may use cookies under their own privacy policies. We don’t share your email address or newsletter choices with advertisers.
Who processes your information for us
- Ghost(Pro), which hosts our website, newsletters, and member accounts
- Mailgun, which delivers our newsletters
- Stripe, which processes payments
- Google, Meta, and Nextdoor, for ad measurement only
What we don’t do
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We don’t let advertisers or sponsors see our subscriber list. Support from readers or funders never gives anyone access to your data.
Your choices
- Commenting on any article shows your name publicly.
- Change which newsletters you get, or unsubscribe, using the link at the bottom of any email or from your account page.
- Email us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and we’ll do it.
Children
Delco Rising isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and say so in a newsletter.
